This 1982 Commodore 64 was one of the most popular and best selling computer in the 1980s (more than 20 million were sold). With a 1MHz MOS 6510 processor and 64K of RAM, this computer boots up to Commodore BASIC version 2.

This is a 1980s Commodore MPS-802 dot matrix printer that used tractor feed.

The 1541 is a popular disk drive for the Commodore 64 that had a 6502 processor built in as the disk controller. The one pictured above is an early version with the ALPS mechanism (notice the flat thing in the middle of the drive).

This is the later version of the 1541, notice the lever instead of the ALPS mechanism seen on the early version. I modified this drive by cutting jumper 1 on the board in the drive and wired it to a switch, which was installed in the back. As a result, I was able to switch back and forth from the default DEVICE 8 to DEVICE 9, thus allowing me to use two disk drives at the same time. Fortunately the 1571 and other improved disk drives had a switch in the back for choosing DEVICE 8, 9, 10, or 11 without having to open up the drive.
