 | Delco R6011 Circa 1937Band: AM & SW Tube Lineup: 6A7, 15, 15, 15, 76, 76, 19 Contributed by T. Dumerauf |
This Delco R6011 is a farm radio that ran off large 6-volt car batteries due to the heavy current consumption of the vibrator power supply that converted the battery voltage to the higher B+ voltage for the tubes. Radios that run on AC require less current because of the higher mains voltage (120V), so for equivalent power consumption with a 6-volt battery, higher current was consumed.
 | Philco 89 1935Bands: AM & SW Tube Lineup: 44, 77, 44, 75, 42, 80 Contributed by A. Guha |

Sparton mirrored radios are highly sought by radio collectors. This model was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague, and the mirror cabinet was available in blue or peach - the latter is rarer.
