Hewlett-Packard iPAQ PE2050
2003
The HP iPAQ was a line of Pocket PCs produced from 2002 to 2010, originating from Compaq, which first introduced the iPAQ series in 2000. HP acquired Compaq in 2002 through a $25 billion merger, aiming to strengthen its position in the PC and enterprise market by integrating Compaq’s expertise in mobile computing. Following the merger, HP continued refining the iPAQ series, enhancing its design and features to compete with Palm and other handheld devices of the era. The iPAQ PE2050 H2200 series was released in 2003 for $399, featuring a color touchscreen, Intel XScale processor, and expandable storage via SD and CompactFlash (CF) slots. It ran Windows Mobile.
