Sharp Wizard OZ-7000

1989

The Sharp OZ-7000, released in 1989, was one of the earliest electronic organizers, serving as a precursor to modern PDAs. It featured a 96x64 monochrome LCD, 32KB of internal memory, and an IC Card expansion slot, allowing users to install additional software and memory cards. The device included built-in applications such as a memo pad, phone book, calendar, and scheduling tools, making it a valuable tool for professionals. It also supported serial connectivity for syncing with PCs and Macs, along with optional accessories like a thermal printer and cassette tape backup. The OZ-7000 was the debut model that laid the foundation for later models in the Sharp Wizard series, which introduced larger displays, infrared communication, and more advanced features.
