Hewlett-Packard Jornada 560
2001
The HP Jornada 560 series was the final generation of Pocket PC devices under the Jornada brand, debuting in October 2001. It featured a 206MHz Intel StrongARM SA-1110 processor, 32MB or 64MB of RAM, and a color LCD screen. Running Pocket PC 2002, it introduced a flashable ROM, allowing for system updates, though HP never officially released Windows Mobile 2003 for it. The device supported Compact Flash (CF) expansion. The Jornada 560 series marked the end of HP’s Jornada PDA lineup before transitioning to the iPAQ brand following HP’s $25 billion merger with Compaq in 2002.
