Texas Instruments TI-30X
The TI-30X, introduced in 1992, was an evolution of Texas Instruments' low-cost scientific calculator line, offering improved functionality over earlier models. It featured a 10-digit LCD display with an additional 2-digit exponent, enhancing precision for scientific calculations. The TI-30X retained algebraic notation with operation precedence, making it intuitive for students and professionals. It is powered by two LR44 button-cell batteries. The calculator supported trigonometric, logarithmic, and statistical functions, maintaining the versatility of the TI-30 series while modernizing its design. The TI-30X set the foundation for later models like the TI-30X IIS, which expanded its capabilities with a two-line display.
My dad had this calculator from when he used to work for Texas Instruments from 1981 to 1996. I used this TI-30X during my first couple years of high school in 2002-03 before switching to a TI-84 graphing calculator for more advanced math courses.
