National Union 5D2
1940
Bands: AM
Tube Lineup: 12SA7, 12SK7, 12SQ7, 35L6, 35Z5
National Union was a well-known manufacturer of vacuum tubes during the 1930s to 1940s. The company has sold a few rebranded radios and this is a very nice and uncommon example. There is no apparent model number and there is no documentation for this particular example under National Union Radio Corp, but it looks like a rebranded Wells-Gardner 5D2 that is also seen under a variety of nameplates including Aria, Coronado, and Windham. The model is similar in appearance to the Westinghouse WR150 and Wells-Gardner A11 series including Coronado A11 and Aria A11, but the latter has an older tube lineup and 2 knobs below the dial.
