Freshman 50F

Freshman 50F

1933

Bands: AM

Tube Lineup: 39, 39, 36, 38, KR1

Made by the Belmont Radio Corp, this Freshman-branded metal "lunchbox" is similar to many stamped sheet metal radios of the 1932-33 timeframe. I believe the model is 50F because it is the only model made by Belmont with this particular 5-tube lineup. It is a very simple TRF design that used very few components as one would expect for a low cost radio sold during the peak of the Great Depression.
