The TH-4 was a new compact bakelite radio first introduced in early 1939 for $9.95 with over 90,000 units produced. The TH-4 was the predecessor to the later 1939 models PT-25, PT-27, PT-29, PT-31, and PT-37 with minor differences such as a new dial scale. By 1940, a new cabinet design was introduced while maintaining the original compact size; see the Philco PT-25. I purchased this example off ebay in 2023.
