Kadette H
1932
Bands: AM
Tube Lineup: 39, 36, 38, KR1
Other people list this radio as a model "H" but some say it is simply the original International Kadette with no model designation. Produced by the International Radio Corp, this gorgeous beetle Kadette was the first radio to be housed in a molded plastic case and came in many cabinet varieties, including brown or black bakelite. Also the radio circuitry was the first AC/DC compatible design to be mass produced. All radios prior to this Kadette were strictly designed for AC or DC operation but not both. This Kadette originally sold for $25 in 1932.
